Fish Creek Cabin

Tucked near the end of Fish Creek Road in Wilson, this 4,200-square-foot home rests on a quiet bench with the Tetons rising behind and open views east to Sleeping Indian. Two distinct volumes—one light and single-story, the other dark and two stories—intersect in a simple T-formation, creating a balanced composition that responds to the site’s natural contours. The great room sits at the heart of the home, where structural columns frame glass walls on both sides, creating a sense of openness that feels like an elevated tent—at once sheltered and immersed in nature. Built in 2020, representing a collaborative effort with London-based Mclean/Quinlan Architects, the modern interior palette of smooth, light woods enhances the softness of the space, while clean detailing brings a sense of quiet precision. Grounded yet airy, Fish Creek Cabin is a study in contrasts—light and dark, solid and transparent, intimate and expansive—all rooted in the surrounding landscape.
