Your Life's Dream
Is Our Life's Work

Established in 1984 by Larry K. Berlin, Berlin Architects focuses on working closely with its clients to create pieces of architecture tailored to specific needs and tastes. The firm handles a range of residential and commercial projects, designed with a prominent sense of place, and inspired by the mountain modern culture of the Tetons. Crediting its inspiration to the stunning beauty of the natural landscape which surrounds the firm in Jackson Hole, Berlin seeks to bring the distinct reverence of place into the designs of its buildings.

“Whether designing with a more rustic or a more modern sensibility, every structure we design is meant to fit into its own niche, shaped by the unique environmental and social atmospheres which they inhabit, and by which they are inhabited. The custom spaces which we create are meant to speak in a profound way to the mountain lifestyle, and to the unique character of the individuals who live it.”

Why Choose Us?

More than the decades of experience we have accumulated at the forefront of mountain modern architecture, more than the quality of our robust portfolio, the reason our clients choose to work with us is simply because we always put them first. Our team of artists, designers, and craftsman thrive in a client-centric environment. Transparency and communication guide everything we do.

Our Philosophy

Trust. Teamwork. Craftsmanship. Great work is a product of these virtues. We strive to design spaces that embrace natural qualities, taking cues from the surrounding environment, while embracing the sensibilities of our clients. The common denominator in our work is not any particular style, but rather the quality of light and space, thoughtful materials, and the unique vision of those we work for.

Our Approach

Our process requires immersion into the collective ethos of client and community. Responsiveness, beauty and humanism inform the foundation for our approach. With each project we strive for careful collaboration, bringing our clients into the process. Communication and transparency unite people and place in a worthwhile pursuit. The result is a home, a building that is entirely your own.

Our Life's Work

Your life's dream is our life’s work: a legacy realized in home. Design at once responsive to place and to individuality. Our trademark is simplicity over confusion. To create custom spaces where function meets creativity, in a building that is at once timeless and memorable. Our drive is to create home, in its most intimate, its most focused.
